Welcome to USAonwatch.org
Whether you are a first time visitor or frequently stop by this site, I think you will find important and helpful information here. This award-winning site is the official portal to the National Neighborhood Watch Program and we strive to keep the site fresh and relevant to your needs. Together I know we will do our part in the fight against terrorism-making safe and secure neighborhoods the cornerstone of a safe a secure nation. The National Sheriffs' Association (NSA) has long been committed to the safety and security of America's communities. National Sheriffs' Association created the National Neighborhood Watch Program in 1972 to unite law enforcement agencies, private organizations, and individual citizens, in a massive effort to reduce residential crime. You can read more about the Neighborhood Watch by clicking About USAonwatch. As we face one of the most serious challenges to the American way of life, law enforcement agencies across the country, are prepared to meet the challenge, and do their part in the fight against terrorism. We have transformed Neighborhood Watch by giving it a new mission - secure the homeland by encouraging, promoting & empowering people, to get involved in their communities, through Neighborhood Watch. In the 2002 State of the Union Message, President Bush challenged all Americans to become involved in Homeland Security efforts and he specifically charged the National Sheriffs' Association with the mission to promote, and increase the number of Neighborhood Watches; making safe and secure neighborhoods, the foundation of a safe and secure nation. Our presidential mandate is to double the number of neighborhood watches. Take some time to browse the site taking in all that it has to offer. We hope you will join the fight by Subscribing to Our Newletter to receive the weekly Neighborhood Watch Ezine and contact your local law enforcement agency by Searching The National Database. To find out how to register your existing Neighborhood Watch or about starting a Neighborhood Watch, click to Register/Start A Watch to receive your FREE Action Pack which includes Neighborhood Watch Lapel Pins. The Neighborhood Watch Program is an excellent way, for all Americans, from all of our communities, to become involved in the fight against terrorism and help law enforcement. We are counting on your help to succeed, please join the effort. Aaron Kennard |
